Hi, Do you need to know what's happening in order to help you develop open and interoperable AR? It's time to broaden your horizons with a visit to the AR Standards community portal. http://www.arstandards.org It's not a standards body. This grassroots, informal community keeps information flowing between artists, designers, developers, makers of AR tools, and the standards development organizations (SDO). The next International AR Standards Community in person meeting will take place March 19 and 20, 2012 in Austin, TX. This meeting is being sponsored by Khronos Group http://www.khronos.org and sponsored/hosted by the OGC http://www.opengeospatial.org Participation is open. Set up an account and register to participate in the March 2012 meeting on the OGC eCommerce web site https://store.opengeospatial.org/event/120319ar Position papers to the community should be submitted according to guidelines by February 6, 2012. http://www.perey.com/ARStandards/fifth-meeting-position-papers/ These and the status updates of six international SDOs will form the basis of the meeting's agenda and discussions. Additional information about the meeting goals and steps to register/prepare are found on this page: http://www.perey.com/ARStandards/fifth-international-ar-standards-meeting/ You may wish to also attend the OGC Technical Committee meeting during which the ARML Working Group (OGC members only) will meet.
