FWIW, the first time I read those two statements I said "hmmm" to myself, "noodled" on it a bit and then concluded "well, duh, of course XBL cannot give a document new semantics". I don't know why the reader would think that XBL could give the document new semantics. Thus I tend to agree with Doug that those two statements are not needed. OTOH, I don't think those statements are particularly harmful but rather view them as stating the obvious. Regards, Art Barstow ---
