anssiko has just labeled an issue for https://github.com/w3c/a11y-request as "REVIEW REQUESTED": == Web Neural Network API 2025-03-20 > 2025-06-20 == - Name of spec to be reviewed: Web Neural Network API - URL of spec: https://www.w3.org/TR/webnn/ - What and when is your next expected transition? CRS in Q2 2025 - What has changed since any previous review? No new significant accessibility-related changes since the previous reviews in [2022](https://github.com/w3c/a11y-request/issues/26) and [2024](https://github.com/w3c/a11y-request/issues/26#issuecomment-1911926909). In general, the has API continued to evolve adding new features, notably support for well-known transformer models based on an analysis of [top 20 downloaded Hugging Face models](https://github.com/webmachinelearning/webnn/issues/375#issuecomment-2292466613). The transformer architecture has various applications in natural language processing, computer vision, audio, and others, and the architecture supports multimodal input and output, including text, images, speech, and more. For further details, see [issue](https://github.com/webmachinelearning/webnn/issues/375), [PR](https://github.com/webmachinelearning/webnn/pull/805), [presentation](https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-archive/2024Sep/att-0014/WebNN_Operator_Update_Wave_3.pdf). The group welcomes suggestions from accessibility reviewers and experts for additional [use cases](https://www.w3.org/TR/webnn/#usecases) where this technology could improve accessibility of web content and apps. Existing use cases with accessibility-enhancing potential include image captioning, noise suppression, and video summarization. - Please point to the results of your own self-review: https://github.com/webmachinelearning/webnn/issues/261 - Where and how to file issues arising? https://github.com/webmachinelearning/webnn/issues - Pointer to any explainer for the spec? https://github.com/webmachinelearning/webnn/blob/main/explainer.md Other comments: As a reminder, the Web Machine Learning WG working on this specification has received review and contributions from a11y experts. @michael-n-cooper has contributed to the companion document [Ethical Principles for Web Machine Learning](https://webmachinelearning.github.io/ethical-webmachinelearning/) to help integrate a11y perspective and the [W3C Workshop on Web and Machine Learning](https://www.w3.org/2020/06/machine-learning-workshop/presentations.html) had multiple presentations on accessibility topics by experts that informed this WG's work and scoping of this API.
