Re: Accessibility Maturity Model AI Demonstration - Aug 13 - You're Invited

Hi all,
Just to set the stage this was done as a proof of concept of what is possible and how the maturity model could be made easier to fill out than the current assessment tool using an excel spreadsheet.  We have not yet used this AI generated tool in production as our Engineering Team needs to evaluate the tech stack used in order to support this in the future.

Benetech also took the existing W3C's Maturity Model Excel Template and modified it for a project we are working on helping school districts and higher educational public schools get ready for the upcoming Title II requirements that all public school's digital content and communications are WCAG 2.1 AA compliant.

These schools we are engaging with can opt-in to do a maturity model evaluation of their organization to get a baseline of where they are in their accessibility journey and over time track their progress by improving their accessibility maturity in areas found to be lacking.  Other pieces outside the maturity model are a document and website accessibility evaluation and potentially accessibility training for staff.

Brief Overview

1.)     The Task Force has created an Assessment Tool, currently
provided as an Excel spreadsheet.

2.)     Benetech has created an HTML forms front end of our Assessment
Tool. They used AI to help develop that code.
