Hi all, I have reviewed the WebXR DOM Overlays Module FPWD as per my action item. [1] Overview This module describes a mechanism for showing interactive 2D web content during an immersive WebXR session. It needs to be enabled as a feature to display DOM content. When active, it allows user interactions - DOM pointer events etc. Here is my draft response regarding this spec: The Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) working group has reviewed the first public working draft of the 'WebXR DOM Overlays Module ' https://www.w3.org/TR/webxr-dom-overlays-1/. We have the following questions: * Is this module content accessible to users of assistive technologies? * Can this module content be used as a container for accessibility related semantics? Rather like where the browser visually renders an abstraction of the DOM content, and the screen reader uses an off screen model, or interrogates the DOM directly - is this the suggested model for usage in XR environments? * There is potential for accessibility semantics to be included in these type of overlays, has been considered? Thanks Josh [1] https://www.w3.org/TR/webxr-dom-overlays-1/ -- Emerging Web Technology Specialist/Accessibility (WAI/W3C)
