In case you missed the announcement, the proposed W3C Accessibility Maturity Model, brought to you by the Silver-Maturity Model Community Sub Group, is now available on Github. Please do check it out via the link below, and offer up your feedback, through the usual Github process.
I would appreciate some thoughtful attention to this. As we consider formalizing our effort and advancing our publication, it makes the most sense to me, and some others, that APA would have the most appropriately vested interest in this.
Right now the repository says WCAG Maturity Model, but the name doesn’t fit the contents. As such we’ve changed the document name to W3C Accessibility Maturity Model. True to the underpinnings of APA this document encompasses the before, during, and after dimensions of accessibility, from the framework and structure that makes it possible, to the actions, and activities that are necessary and the requirements for sustainability and continuous improvement. It’s not perfect, and we welcome everyone, and anyone, to join our group’s effort.
