At last week's call, I agreed to write up a breakout description for soliciting input on potential scope topics for Accessibility within the W3C Automotive activity. https://www.w3.org/2021/07/21-rqtf-minutes.html#t04 It doesn't seem the breakout wiki is set up yet for TPAC 2021 but taking an initial pass for such a writeup. Input welcome and would like an additional speaker or two to help form the presentation to provoke ideas. Sample from last year: https://www.w3.org/2020/10/TPAC/breakout-schedule.html#ResGeo Proposer: Ted Guild (Geotab) Additional speaker[s]: Summary: The W3C Automotive activity is producing standards around telematics data and services for connected vehicles. While not directly defining user interfaces, there are opportunities to influence this industry at a formative stage for better accessibility inclusion in its technical architecture. Together with WAI Accessibility Platform Architecture (APA) Research Questions Task Force, we want to explore and prioritize potential work scope. Goal: Determine scope of work for Accessibility in W3C Automotive either for technical specifications or in best practices document.
