CAPTCHA updates recommended for WCAG

Dear AGWG Chairs:

The Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) Working Group has just
published an update of W3C's 2005 Note,
"Inaccessibility of CAPTCHA." Our document refers to current WCAG
guidance, but we also believe AGWG might wish to update WCAG to incorporate our
most recent findings.

Our updated Note is the culmination of almost two years of research,
discussion, authoring, and several rounds of wide public review guided
by our Research Questions Task Force (RQTF).

Our recommendation on potential updates to WCAG are summarized in the 5
items enumerated in the "Conclusions" section of our document:

Also, Dr. Scott Hollier <scott@hollier.info>, cc'd on this message, has
graciously offered to work with AGWG on any updates to WCAG based on our
updated Note.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best,

Janina
