Re: Speech Synthesis Markup Language (SSML) in HTML and Digital Publishing

Good Morning Irfan, All:

APA considered your proposed scheduling during our teleconference
yesterday and decided that that the 18th is by far the best for us. It's
the day our people can commit to be present.

So, let's set this conversation for Noon Eastern Time on Wednesday 18
July. I will forward the agenda which includes all the teleconference
info you'll need no later than Tuesday 17 July. Meanwhile, if you want
to forward any background material to APA, simply reply on this email
thread.

Looking forward to talking with you on the 18th,

Janina

I'm copying Irfan Ali and Mark Hakkinen in this correspondence, as they are most directly involved in the associated work. EPUB 3 also supports SSML, but the issue has not been raised in a Publishing Working Group context. There is also interest from some participants in the work of the IMS Global Learning Consortium.
