MOOC on digital accessibility starting on Oct. 17

Here is something that is related to our talking this morning about the
necessity for giving guidance to developers and engineers on what
accessibility means. We need to have tutorials and other materials
available that provide an introduction to the field of accessibility, in
particular on the diverse needs and barriers that arise for people with
disabilities and older people.

The European MOOCA partnership <http://gpii.eu/moocap/> (a consortium of 8
European universities aiming for a framework of online courses on
accessibility) recently announced a free MOOC on Digital Accessibility:
Enabling Participation in the Information Society
<https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/digital-accessibility> . It will start
on Oct. 17, 2016, on the FutureLearn platform. The full announcement is
available at http://gpii.eu/moocap/?p=650.

Best regards

Gottfried
