Using h1 in sections - despite what it said in HTML 5.0 - is a bad idea, since it doesn't work in browsers. Specifically, they all give the accessibility API information that is different from what they suggest through the rendering. The practice is no longer suggested as of HTML 5.1 cheers 20.10.2016, 19:40, "Accessible Platform Architectures Working Group Issue Tracker" <sysbot+tracker@w3.org>: > ISSUE-1001: Consider if the w3c spec format needs to be updated e.g., to use h1 for sections, after some aria roles like title introduced > > http://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/track/issues/1001 > > Raised by: > On product: -- Charles McCathie Nevile - web standards - CTO Office, Yandex chaals@yandex-team.ru - - - Find more at http://yandex.com
