Colleagues: On today's APA call, I mentioned that a new refreshable braille display was lighting up the email lists following on CSUN. The device is called the Orbit Reader 20. It's a 20-char refreshable braille display expected to cost approximately $500 USD. The device is more than a simple display device. It also: * Supports simple note taking * SD card read/write * USB and BlueTooth * Runs on rechargeable batteries Read more at APH's page for this device: http://www.aph.org/orbit-reader-20/ The background of how the device came to be is provided here: http://www.transformingbraille.org/orbit-reader-20-launch/ Enjoy!
