Note for those using W3C collaboration tools under Microsoft Windows

For those in the group who are running Microsoft Windows for part or all of their work, the following article and associated announcements may be of interest. Essentially, there's a forthcoming feature of Microsoft Windows 10 that will enable you to run Ubuntu Linux tools, including command line programs such as Git, IRC clients such as Irssi, etc., that could be very useful to W3C collaborators - especially with screen readers. This is expected to offer better package management and integration than current solutions in Microsoft environments.

I also note that there's an IRC channel on irc.w3.org for W3C collaborators who are using assistive technologies, which participants in this group are welcome to join, if interested.
