Colleagues:

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to the Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) Working Group asking whether we have consensus on our new draft Charter. An affirmitive response means you agree the draft Charter appropriately describes the work we propose to do through the new proposed Charter time-frame, currently set expected to be 1 August 2025 through 31 July 2027. The proposed Charter is available here:

https://raw.githack.com/w3c/apa/charter-2025/charter.html

As always with APA CfCs, editorial corrections, such as spelling or grammar, will be made as needed without further notice. Please do draw our attention to any editorial issues you find in this draft.

***Action to Take***

This CfC is now open for objection, comment, as well as statements of support via email. Silence will be interpreted as support, though messages of support are certainly welcome.

If you object to this proposed action, or have comments concerning this proposal, please respond by replying on list to this message no later than 23:59 (Midnight) Boston Time, Thursday 29 May.

NOTE: This Call for Consensus is being conducted in accordance with the APA Decision Policy published at:

[Image is in two halves. On the left is a close up of a lady with dark blonde hair wearing a trench coat holding her smart phone up looking at the camera in slight disdain. On the right are white text boxes on a pink background. The black text in the boxes say "Sight loss I can handle. But the parents group chat…". Below the text boxes on the right is the RNIB logo and on the left is the #BeforeYouAsk.] <https://www.rnib.org.uk/campaign-with-us/beforeyouask/>

Sometimes questions around sight loss can be inappropriate or just plain daft. Find out what the frequently asked questions of blind and partially sighted people<https://www.rnib.org.uk/campaign-with-us/beforeyouask/> are and how they answer them #BeforeYouAsk.
