Mai 2023 20:31 An: public-apa-admin@w3.org Betreff: Call for Consensus (CfC): Establish the FAST Task Force Colleagues: This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to the Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) Working Group asking whether we have consensus on establishing an APA Task Force to further develop the Framework for Accessibility in the Specification of Technologies (FAST). An affirmitive response means you agree with, and support the proposed work described in the draft FAST Work Statement available here: https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/wiki/Fast-work-statement ***Background*** Work on FAST began many years ago in the Protocols and Formats (PF) Working Group, a WAI Working Group that preceded the establishment of APA in 2015. A checklist that other W3C groups actively use to assist APA in our horizontal review responsibilities is available here: http://w3c.github.io/apa/fast/checklist For a time this work was migrated to the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AGWG) for further development as a component of Silver, the anticipated next generation Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). It is now proposed to return the work to APA. Please note the lack of links, and even the presence of broken links in the above Checklist. We're aware that further infrastructure is needed to facilitate the work being proposed by this CfC. As always with an APA CfCs, editorial corrections, such as spelling or grammar, will be made as needed without further notice. Please do draw our attention to any editorial issues you find in this draft. ***Action to Take*** This CfC is now open for objection, comment, as well as statements of support via email. Silence will be interpreted as support, though messages of support are certainly welcome. If you object to this proposed action, or have comments concerning this proposal, please respond by replying on list to this message no later than 23:59 (Midnight) Boston Time, Wednesday 31 May. NOTE: This Call for Consensus is being conducted in accordance with the APA Decision Policy published at: http://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/decision-policy Janina and Matthew APA Co-Chairs -- Janina Sajka (she/her/hers) Accessibility Consultant https://linkedin.com/in/jsajka The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Co-Chair, Accessible Platform Architectures http://www.w3.org/wai/apa Linux Foundation Fellow https://www.linuxfoundation.org/board-of-directors-2/
