    Colleagues:

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to the Accessible Platform
Architectures (APA) Working Group proposing advancing the WAI-Adapt Registry specification document developed by our
WAI-Adapt Task Force to First Public Working Draft
(FPWD) publication for wide review. The snapshot to review for this CfC
    is here:

    https://raw.githack.com/w3c/aac-registry/main/snapshot.html

The WAI-Adapt resolution requesting this publication is recorded here:

    https://www.w3.org/2022/11/28-adapt-minutes.html#r01

As always with APA CfCs, editorial corrections, such as spelling or
grammar, will be made as needed without further notice. Please do draw
our attention to any editorial issues you find in this draft.

For in-progress updates to the document, see the Editors' Draft at:

    https://w3c.github.io/aac-registry/

    ***Background***

This W3C Registry specification provides a mapping mechanism utilizing a
numeric integer value to corelate concepts expressed in standard text
(just English for now) and an SVG representation of that concept from
any of a collection of major AAC symbol sets in use today.

This specification supports the WAI-Adapt Symbols Module 1.0 expected to
go to Candidate Recommendation (CR) status once the Registry FPWD is
published. The current draft of the CR is here:

    https://w3c.github.io/adapt/symbols/

    ***Action to Take***

This CfC is now open for objection, comment, as well as statements of
support via email. Silence will be interpreted as support, though
messages of support are certainly welcome.

If you object to this proposed action, or have comments concerning this
proposal, please respond by replying on list to this message no later
than 23:59 (Midnight) Boston Time, Tuesday 6 December.

NOTE: This Call for Consensus is being conducted in accordance with the
    APA Decision Policy published at:

    http://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/decision-policy
