Mai 2021 14:04:43 An: Accessible Platform Architectures Administration Betreff: Call for Consensus (CfC): Publish Spoken Presentation FPWD Colleagues: This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to the Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) Working Group proposing publication of our Spoken Presentation Specification document as a First Public Working Draft (FPWD). The document to review for this CfC can be found here: https://raw.githack.com/w3c/pronunciation/90425c2688b59b8655ff9c30fbcbb6ebbbfdc72d/technical-approach/index.html This action was requested by our Spoken Presentation Task Force following several years of gap analysis, requirements enumeration, and specification development. The request to publish as an FPWD is documented here: https://www.w3.org/2021/04/07-pronunciation-minutes.html#ResolutionSummary IMPORTANT NOTE: This FPWD publication presents two technical approaches which the Task Force believes could meet its accessibility requirements with a request to the wider community to indicate which approach is preferable and why. It is hoped that substantial community response can aid in choosing the better approach for accessibility which can also assist spoken presentation generally, well beyond any accessibility specific use cases. As usual we prefer solutions for accessibility that are also generally applicable and have wide stakeholder approbation. ***Action to Take*** This CfC is now open for objection, comment, as well as statements of support via email. Silence will be interpreted as support, though messages of support are certainly welcome. If you object to this proposed action, or have comments concerning this proposal, please respond by replying on list to this message no later than 23:59 (Midnight) Boston Time, Wednesday 12 May. NOTE: This Call for Consensus is being conducted in accordance with the APA Decision Policy published at: http://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/decision-policy Janina and Becky -- Janina Sajka Linux Foundation Fellow Executive Chair, Accessibility Workgroup: http://a11y.org The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Chair, Accessible Platform Architectures http://www.w3.org/wai/apa
