Subject: Call for Consensus (CfC): Standing Note-Track WD Publication Permission

Colleagues:

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to the Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) Working Group proposing the grant of standing permission to publish updated working drafts of note-track documents to APA and our several task forces.

The intent of this proposal is to simplify the process of updating working drafts of publications intended to become W3C Notes in APA.
Approving this CfC would adopt the following as APA policy:

Explicit permission processing, including an APA Call for Consensus
(CfC) would still be required to publish a First Public Working Draft (FPWD) or to publish a secondary wide review draft.
Explicit permission would also still be required to finalize the document as a W3C Note. However, updating Working Drafts inbetween these note-track milestones could occur whenever the group producing the document wishes.

***Action to Take***

This CfC is now open for objection, comment, as well as statements of support via email. Silence will be interpreted as support, though messages of support are certainly welcome.

If you object to this proposed action, or have comments concerning this proposal, please respond by replying on list to this message no later than 23:59 (Midnight) Boston Time, Wednesday 26 August.

NOTE: This Call for Consensus is being conducted in accordance with the APA Decision Policy published at:
