48-Hour Call for Consensus (CfC): APA Decision Policy

Colleagues:

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to the Accessible Platform
Architectures (APA) Working Group on the draft Decision Policy document
available at:

http://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/decision-policy

Background Information

The decision policy which is the subject of this CfC is the codification
of long standing customary practice in the Protocols and Formats (PFWG)
Working Group. We were requested to provide a written draft of candidate WG
decision policies by members of the AC during the chartering process for
both the APA and ARIA WGs. This document is the result of that request as further
refined by discussions in APA and ARIA teleconferences. Both APA and ARIA are
formally considering adopting their own versions of this policy at this
time.

ACTION TO TAKE

This CfC is now open for objection, comment, as well as statements of
support via email. Silence will be interpreted as support, though
messages of support are certainly welcome.

IMPORTANT: Both APA and ARIA are independently conducting CfCs on their
own individual draft Decision Policy documents. If you are a member of
both APA and ARIA, you should express your view on each CfC.

If you object to this proposed action, or have comments concerning this
proposal, please respond by replying on list to this message no later
than 23:59 (Midnight) Boston Time, Thursday 4 February.
