Artificial Intelligence Knowledge Representation Community Group, Hello. I've proposed a new Adaptation and Personalization Community Group and would like to share a hyperlink for supporting its creation and to also briefly describe two of the group's planned projects having overlap with knowledge representation. To support the group's creation, please simply press the "support this group" button here: https://www.w3.org/community/ after first scrolling to the Adaptation and Personalization Community Group proposal. How Does the Adaptation and Personalization Community Group Pertain to Knowledge Representation? 1. The proposed group plans to explore and discuss and design an Adaptation Ontology for Web sites and pages to be able to describe any "adaptation parameters" for end-users to be able to adjust to vary Web content. These adaptation parameters, for instance, might be users' reading levels, language fluencies, and background knowledge. Related topics include: adaptive hypermedia and adaptive explanations. 2. The proposed group plans to explore and discuss markup- and style-based solutions for expressing content for declarative natural-language generation. One initial approach considered, in these regards, is to build and expand upon HTML and CSS technologies; in particular, to build and expand upon HTML's outline elements (e.g., <ol>, <ul>, <li>). In the envisioned approach, styled content outlines would be processed by software components to create prompts for AI systems to use to generate adapted, personalized natural-language Web content. While the proposed group plans to explore and discuss many other interesting and exciting topics (I have about 40 topics ready to go), the two projects indicated, above, are those having overlap with knowledge representation. Also, as interesting, some more detailed technical notes are available below [1][2]. I thank you for your support!
