Re: AI KR VOCAB concept note

Paola, to facilitate feedback, I applied the for-comment stylesheet to my StratML rendition of your concept note.
I also queried You.com for authoritative definitions of the concept of "policy". I particularly like the Cambridge Dictionary's definition:

a set of ideas or a plan of what to do in particular situations that has been agreed to and officially accepted by a group of people, a business organization, a government, or a political party

However, good ideas are a dime a dozen. What is rare and thus valuable are good implementations. Good implementations require good plans, and as the pace of change continues to accerate in the cyberage, such plans should be shared in open, standard, machine-readable format.
Indeed, for overwhelmed and over-matched humans in the loop, policies published in non-machine-readable format may be a bigger part of the problem than the solution. Instead of more "policies" issued in myriad formats, what's needed instead are more model performance plans as well as actual performance reports shared in open, standard, machine-readable format -- in which case AI agents can help make the data they contain far more accessible and comprehensible to human beings.
The opportunity presents itself for the AIKR CG to demonstrate enlightened leadership in that regard, e.g., by documenting the definitions and relationships among these concepts, if not publishing a model performance plan for responsible reporting by the developers of AI agents.

Thank you Owen, I may still edit it a bit, and course inviting commentsBut I was thinking of you when I thought that there must be an intersection of AI KR terminology with other vocabs/standards, so perhaps policy would be your term?

The contents of the concept note are now available in StratML Part 2, Performance Plan/Report, format at https://stratml.us/drybridge/index.htm#VKCM or, more specifically, https://stratml.us/docs/VKCM.xml
I'll look foward to learning how the curated terms may relate to those specified in the StratML standard.
Conformance with the vision -- Intelligent autonomous systems behave as intended and according to policy -- would be facilitated if the developers of such systems were to publish their intentions (strategic plans) as well as their "policies" and performance reports in an open, standard, machine-readable format, like StratML Part 2.

Following on list and off list exchanges, I have drafted a concept notethat summarises the scope of work for the vocab as discussedThis concept note, once finalized will be shared with an invitation to contributeto the authors of KR literature and anyone contributing to it will be naturally listed as contribute/author
Once we have keywords, we can also produce a concept/knowledge map
For people who are working on other standards or other domains, it could be a good exercise to identify the intersection (is there any term from KR that matches/intersect with the concepts and terms from related domains for example)

Wishing everyone a warm winter with lots of reading and picking termsPDM
