I finally got around to watching the recording of the Center for Data Innovation's session on the EU's draft AI law.
In follow-up, now available in StratML Part 1, Strategic Plan, format are the about statements for Metaculus, Conjecture, and Hugging Face.
Already available in StratML format were those for Deep Mind & the Future of Life Institute.
Conjecture's mission is to conduct AI alignment research. By that, they mean alignment of AI models with human values.
StratML tool, app, and service requirement Goal 9: Values Validation is:
Analyze and report to stakeholders the degrees to which the goals, objectives and results of interest to them are consistent with their own values and validate the avowed values of the organizations establishing those goals and objectives.
From my perspective, it would be good if orgs interested in AI were demonstrating leadership by example by publishing their own plans and reports in an open, standard, machine-readable format like StratML Part 2, Performance Plans & Reports.
The template that I rendered in StratML format in April 2020 is based upon the performance reporting elements proposed by FATML.org

| The French presidency recently proposed expanding the scope of the EU’s draft law for regulating high-risk AI tools to include a new class of systems: General-purpose AI systems, which are those that can perform a wide range of tasks and often power more specific applications. Examples include models for image and speech recognition, pattern detection, and translation. Those who support the French proposal argue it is the only way to ensure future high-risk AI applications that rely on these models pose as little risk as possible. Those who oppose it argue its broad-brush approach will capture a swath of systems not intended for high-risk use cases and ultimately do more harm than good.
