Ah, I see what's happened.

The definitions are drawn in from the main text:

In that version, it has "Note 1" etc.

For some reason that isn't used in the Understanding doc version.

Thank you for asking.  It turns out that one has to expand the "Key Terms" section just above the "Help improve this page" section.

I'm sorry that I didn't include that detail; I hadn't noticed.

Might these number labels be added in the document, or the numbers become links to the sections that they refer to?
