Hi WAI team, I am a product designer working with my team to recommend accessibility behaviors for our point-of-sale (POS) software. Our software appears on proprietary hardware and is closed functionality—are focused states still required for all interactive UI elements (e.g., buttons)? There is no way for customers to connect a keyboard. Majority of our POS products are touch screen with the exception of keypad terminals for taking payments. We also do not have screen reader support. For additional context, we have consumer-facing screens (on touch screen) that appear on the POS. We want to make those screens accessible by WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards to meet EU legal requirements, but are unsure what does/doesn't apply to closed functionality. Looking forward to hearing from you, Liz Dizon
