Dear all, Apologies for the slight delay in sharing the meeting summary. The minutes from the AI Agent Protocol CG meeting held on July 15, 2026, have now been compiled. Please review them at the link below and feel free to provide any feedback: Meeting minutes: https://github.com/w3c-cg/ai-agent-protocol/blob/main/meetings/2026-07-15.md This meeting focused on the relationship between the ANP implementation and the CG protocol draft, including the DID-WBA authentication flow, bearer-token reuse, agent identity, trust evidence, and DID lifecycle management. Participants discussed how agents discover one another before establishing a connection. The group recommended separating discovery from flows that assume a known remote-agent URL and considering prior work such as IEEE 802.11u, Passpoint, and ANQP. The discussion also covered relay-based messaging, end-to-end encryption, cross-domain communication, and coordination with related IETF work on identity, discovery, and authorization. Protocol draft: https://w3c-cg.github.io/ai-agent-protocol/protocol.html GitHub discussion: https://github.com/w3c-cg/ai-agent-protocol/ Code reference: https://github.com/agent-network-protocol/anp Example code: https://github.com/agent-network-protocol/anp/blob/master/examples/python/did_wba_examples/e1_authenticate_and_verify.py We welcome any comments on the minutes or on the topics discussed.
