matching values Hey folks, After extensive testing and discussion a while ago, ACT-Rules CG came to the conclusion that the *HTML page lang and xml:lang attributes have matching **values rule* should be deprecated. Since this rule was originally written, browsers have improved in such a way that this is no longer an issue. Browsers will now always use lang when present, regardless of whether or not there is an xml:lang attribute. This pull request marks this rule as deprecated. Once merged this rule will go on to the deprecated rules list. This will also remove the rule from the implementation pages. If you have any concerns or questions, please leave a review on the pull request before August 7th: https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/pull/2086 Kind regards, -- *Wilco Fiers* Axe-core & Axe-linter product owner - WCAG 3 Project Manager - Facilitator ACT Task Force
