Hi all, As discussed in the ACT Rule CG teleconference that has just ended, I have added a new label named “Should we proceed?” to our Github repository. It reflects the “Ideas looking for initial approval” stage as described in https://github.com/act-rules/act-rules.github.io/issues/368 that we agreed back in February to try to implement. Name of label is courtesy of Emma Richens. For rules in this stage, the tasks for the rule authors, that we discussed on the call, are: * Adding the label * Adding a comment that specifically ask people to look at whether the general concept of this rule is something they can agree to, the main question being “Is this a valid test for a WCAG requirement?” * In the comment, asking people to reply to the comment with “thumbs up”, if they agree (and “thumbs down” if they don’t?) + maybe some words For reviewers at this stage, their job will be to: * Really consider if this matches the WCAG requirements and if you can agree to (and maybe want to implement) this rule. * Be honest and clear about concerns, since since rejecting a rule at this point will save a lot of resources compared to rejecting it at the Final Call later. I took the liberty of just adding the label to all newish rules that are PRs. If the authors think that the rules are either not ready for this stage yet, or has already passed this stage in some other way, feel free to remove the label again.
