Congratulations to everyone involved in this work! Regards, Shadi -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Call for Implementations: ACT Rules Format 1.0 Candidate Recommendation Date: Tue, 16 Apr 2019 16:17:34 +0200 From: Shadi Abou-Zahra <shadi@w3.org> To: public-wai-announce@w3.org CC: Andrew Kirkpatrick <akirkpat@adobe.com>, Alastair Campbell <acampbell@nomensa.com>, Wilco Fiers <wilco.fiers@deque.com>, Mary Jo Mueller <maryjom@us.ibm.com>, Michael Cooper <cooper@w3.org>, Shadi Abou-Zahra <shadi@w3.org> Dear WAI Interest Group Participants, The Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AGWG) has published a Candidate Recommendation of Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Rules Format 1.0: https://www.w3.org/TR/act-rules-format/ *Changes* This updated draft of Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Rules Format 1.0 is complete and ready for implementation testing. It addresses all comments received on the previous drafts with several important clarifications on different requirements. Most importantly, "Accessibility Requirements Mapping" was elaborated for clarity. An Implementation Report documenting ACT Rules that implement this rules format will be gathered here: https://w3c.github.io/wcag-act/act-implementations.html *Background* The Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Rules Format 1.0 specifies a common format for accessibility test rules, and how to write test procedures for quality assurance. It facilitates harmonization of accessibility testing approaches, and helps organizations to better document and share their testing methods. It primarily addresses developers of automated and semi-automated evaluation tools, and also supports manual evaluation procedures. *Implementations* The Working Group requests example ACT Rules implemented in a variety of automated testing tools and manual methodologies to help demonstrate maturity of this specification. To submit potential implementations and to comment, the Working Group requests input be filed as GitHub issues at: https://github.com/w3c/wcag-act/issues/ Please create new issues for your comments, putting each separate topic into a separate issue. If it is not feasible for you to file issues in this tool, you can also submit comments by email to: public-wcag-act-comments@w3.org The Working Group requests comments on this draft be filed by 28 May 2019. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your comments.
