RE: Guidance on Applying WCAG 2.0 to Non-Web ICT [via Accessibility in India Community Group]

Hi All,

I just wanted to chip in with a comment that this is a hugely important document going forward. Increasingly, we are seeing WCAG 2.0 being used in policy initiatives around the world. Not only that but both Section 508 in the US and also the equivalent European standard for accessible ICT in public procurement are going to require WCAG 2.0 for all types of content and applications and not only web. Therefore, a W3C-WAI note on how to implement WCAG 2.0 outside of the web context is rather critical.

If you get a chance, I suggest that you please take some time to read this final draft and send in comments if you have any. The draft document is available at http://www.w3.org/TR/wcag2ict/. For some background info, please read this email archive http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w3c-wai-ig/2013JulSep/0014.html.
