Hi Judy – 

Thanks much for the clarification. 

In real life, dark mode on Twitter does pass text contrast at level AA, so perhaps there was some downgrade through the screenshot and the email. As such, we don’t need to report the issue to Twitter. 

Looks like the earlier known issue has already been fixed by Twitter :)

Thank you for the follow up discussion on this. FYI, I noted Emeline’s comment regarding not being clear about my message, and re-checked it. I’d intended to state that I “have not” checked the color contrast in the image against WCAG— as I indeed had not. My apologies for miss-stating what I’d intended to write. But indeed the image I’m seeing has barely discernible text.

I may be misunderstanding your email, but the screenshot reflects Twitter's design in dark mode. There are indeed accessibility issues but unfortunately they reside with the platform and would be out of our control (the W3C page meets standard contrast etc requirements).

Hi Suzanne and all, 

Thanks for circulating a draft of the tweet. 

I notice that a few things in the image appear difficult to read. I have checked the contrast against WCAG requirements, but am wondering about the blue link text on black background in several places, and also the medium-gray text on black background on a few lines near the bottom of the image. At least those are the color combinations that are showing on my monitor.
