Last Meeting Notes | Case Studies for White Paper | External speakers

Dear Accessibility for Children Community Group participants,

We hope you are all doing fine.

Please find the notes (https://www.w3.org/community/accessibility4children/wiki/Meeting_Notes#Thirteenth_Meeting_.28June.2C_23_2022.29)of our latest meeting.
Maud also added a little bonus for you to read (a little summary of OECD future of education report).
We have reviewed many international guidelines and standards for children during our latest meetings.
We think we can now position our work in reference to these background documents if needed
and focus specifically on children's needs in terms of accessibility.

As discussed, our priority for the summer will be the White Paper.
We will discuss it at meetings but you can always send questions or suggestions.
As some members offered to help with the writing, we thought about a little template for the case studies
you can fill in with the topic of your choice.
Please send us the template if you would like to write a case study.

Ideally, we would need :
-a challenge: accessibility for children is needed and already addressed for adults
(or not yet addressed for adults but work for children is more relevant in terms of proportionality and benefits adults)
-an example of intersectionality
-if possible an example related to socio-emotional skills
-an example related to emerging technologies (Child Computer Interaction, Natural language interfaces,...)

Case studies should address new topics (not addressed in research before) and can cover less visible topics
As the white paper will include a statistical part, you can also send us quantitative material.

Template to be sent by 13.07.2022

As we like to invite external speakers to learn about new topics and start interesting discussions, feel free to send us suggestions and contacts.

	Have a very nice week,
Suzanne and Maud
