Reference to Affordances in User Needs definition

Hi all,

One think that I'm not clear on is the reference to Affordances in the 
user needs definition.

 >An affordance of content in a specific context that enables a person 
to achieve a goal or complete a task.

Is this important to include in the question on the user needs 
statement? It seems related to me, as a 'qualifying clause' in the user 
need statement but I can't remember what we decided, and Michael felt it 
was confusing so we decided to remove it.
