Hi all, Here are some notes from today's call. Happy to say that Jake is continuing with the proof of concept around the new FAST framework, with a practical exploration of a WCAG SC relating to error recovery and prevention. Todd is also bringing his experience to bear on this, and Jake hopes to have something to show us next week. Some other items to note: # We need to planning over the next week or so for deliverables/milestones over the coming months# Needs and outcomes needs to be filled. We need people to work out the intersections between user needs and functional outcomes, and how that relates to existing work in Silver sub groups. # We may benefit from open session or two to explain, and show others how to do this and then assign tasks that will help us. # Jake has a proposal to map error prevention / correction to his new user needs list proposal. He aims to use the existing work done in Silver by Sarah Horton, Todd etc - will that will validate Jake's proposal and help improve it. Taking something complex like Errors is a valuable exercise. # ISSUE: There is a variance in what each group/person understands to be a user need. # ISSUE: Could this work we are doing help with breaking up SC's like 1.3.1 - Info and Relationships etc? We think there is potential. # Jake has created a graphic representation of the error 'process'. Containing 'Errors User needs, functions and outcomes worksheet' - could be useful to display these graphically when people are working on complex SCs? # Jake has shared the framework to Error working group. Any comments or questions are welcome, we will be meeting next week also. Thanks Josh -- Emerging Web Technology Specialist/Accessibility (WAI/W3C)
