PS: They were included only for historical reasons, just like > Win1251, Win-1251, CP-1251... has, personally I hate confusion too. It does seem reasonable to document aliases that have been used to refer to the charset. That's not the same thing as defining alternate charset names for use with MIME. Text like "this charset has also been known as Ami1251, Amiga1251, and Ami-1251, but the name Amiga-1251 should be used in MIME messages" might be appropriate. Keith
