I certainly did not end yesterday's teleconference with the belieft that Last-Modified was to be deprecated. (it isn't what I put in the agenda for results of the topic discussion, for example), so I must agree with Roy there. My understanding is that we are left mostly with a terminology question now, as "weak validator" seems to have left us with unintentional mis-understanding. It appears that related terminology has either misleading implications or is used in other contexts. So it smells to me like we need to invent a new term (unless someone has a blinding insight). So I don't see (personally) the need for much discussion except for 1) terminology 2) any remaining technical problems in Jeff's design 3) any clarifications in wording that are appropriate. - Jim
