A problem for HTML file lack of tag

I'm a newbie in JTidy.
When i working with some pages Jtidy display error message like: <a > 
missing ending tag >
I don't know if Jtidy can correct automatically this error by adding the 
missing tag into document ?
if Yes, how to do this ?
If some one meet this case please help me!
