New features of Schema2Java Compiler v.1.6 include XML Schema importing, XML Schema inclusion, and Attribute Groups, in addition to the now standard features of custom namebinding, namespace support, XML Schema validation and both GUI and command line interfaces.
 
Tailored for Web Services developers, Schema2Java Compiler automatically converts XML Schemas into Java classes. These classes run in all standard Java environments without any customization, and when integrated into a Java application, allow for the development of Web Services in a fraction of normal development time.
 
Schema2Java Compiler was first released as a web-based service in June 2001, just three weeks after the publication of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) XML Schema Recommendation. Following its commercial release in October 2001, Schema2Java Compiler became the first publicly available product supporting the implementation guidelines of the W3C. To this day, Schema2Java Compiler remains the only product supporting the fullest implementation of the W3C XML Schema standard guidelines.
