Re: Draft SOAP Primer with MTOM additions

Nilo,

I finally got to read your draft and I have a few comments. Overall, I
think it's a very good piece of text.

Section 4 mentions the property for optimization candidates which AFAIK
is gone now.

At the beginning of section 5.3, is the reference to
"content-transfer-encoding scheme defined in rfc 2045" necessary?
Wouldn't it be sufficient just to say "transform the binary data into
character representation of type xs:base64Binary"?

I think the text before section 5.3.2, especially the second para in
5.3, will want to mention XOP.

First para under example 18: "many thousands of orders of magnitude" -
?!? 8-)

Also first para under example 18 says that the element areaMap is a
sub-element of soap:Body, is that correct though? Is a sub-element a
child or a descendant? Anyway, the listing of children of the Body a few
paragraphs below should be cleared in presentation to indicate that
hotel and areaMap are not, in fact, children of Body. A sub-list, maybe.

The remark in parentheses after the listing says other types may be
optimized, that's been eliminated, IIRC.

Finally, will section 5.3.3 be expanded or is it intended to be so
short? If the latter, should it maybe be merged with one of the previous
sections?

Best regards,

                   Jacek Kopecky

Also, as MTOM/MIFFY->XOP is a work in progress, the primer is naturally a little behind. That said, **all errors are mine**, and this work has not been reviewed by the WG.
