Publication of SOAP Version 1.2 Part 1: Messaging Framework and SOAP Version 1.2 Part 2: Adjuncts as W3C Working Drafts

As part of the XML Protocol Activity[1], the XML Protocol Working
Group[2] is pleased to announce the publication of new Working Drafts
of the SOAP Version 1.2 specification.

The specification has been split into two documents:

- SOAP Version 1.2 Part 1: Messaging Framework

        http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/WD-soap12-part1-20011002/

Part 1 describes the SOAP envelope and SOAP transport binding
    framework.

- SOAP Version 1.2 Part 2: Adjuncts

        http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/WD-soap12-part2-20011002/

Part 2 describes the SOAP encoding rules, the SOAP RPC convention
and a concrete HTTP binding specification.

Comments on these documents should be sent to the publicly archived[3]
W3C mailing list <xmlp-comments@w3.org>. A list of open issues against
those documents can be found at [6].

Changes since the 9 July 2001 Working Draft[7] are documented in the
change log sections (respectively part 1 change log[4] and part 2
change log[5]).
