Draft of the XML Protocol requirements document available

As David Cleary mentioned earlier, the XML Protocol Working has spent
the last three weeks organizing the raw requirements gathered during the
first face-to-face meeting.

We have now produced a draft document that we would like to offer for
public discussion on xml-dist-app. This draft document is available at:

	http://www.w3.org/2000/xp/Group/xp-reqs-02

It is a rough draft of the requirements document that we are planning
to publish as a Working Draft. It has not been approved for publication
as a Technical Report yet.

XP Working Group Progress, Discussions on xml-dist-app

Minutes of the Working Group meetings and future published documents
will be linked from the Working Group home page:

	http://www.w3.org/2000/xp/Group/

From now on, discussions will happen on the xml-dist-app mailing list,
and we invite comments on this document here.

The Working Group is currently discussing draft requirements (DR) 2xx,
3xx, 6xx, 7xx. In order to work in an efficient way, we ask that all
participants focus on these topics for the timebeing.

The Working Group has adopted conventions for email communications: when
a DR is discussed, its number preceded by DR must be present between
square brackets in the subject, e.g. "[DR 308] Problem with foo".
Please use such conventions when making comments.

The XML Protocol Working Group is looking forward to building a solid
requirements document, and appreciates having feedback from the public.
