Two trading partners are engaged in multi-message protocol exchanges
where the multiple exchanges are considered a related set. 
Note: I removed an atomic unit since the notion of related sets and
atomic units are very different in this context, I think. Atomicity
deals with transactions where a related set has to do with the causal
delivery of messages.
