Hi Eric, A few more facets which may be of interest: Object Oriented framework: If the protocol supports "traditional" object oriented features. Instances: If the protocol support the notion of "instances". Instance discovery: If the protocol support mechanisms of how to find instances. Language bindings If the protocol includes standardized programming languages bindings on the client and the server side.
