Bath Profile event

Dear all,

The following announcement relates to a proposed conference on the Bath Profile, scheduled for early July.

******************************************************************************************************
JISC, UKOLN and the M25 Systems Team invite you to attend a one day event
The Bath Profile Four Years on: what's being done in the UK?

7th July, 2003
The Francis Hotel, Bath, United Kingdom
*******************************************************************************************************
The Bath Profile is an internationally recognised standard for semantic interoperability
when using Z39.50 and is currently awaiting ISO approval for Release 2.0.
Adoption of the profile in the UK has been varied and as such the aim of the day is to
gather together key personnel both from system vendors serving the UK market,
and implementers from various JISC services and projects, to have a full and frank
exchange of views on the profile itself and its likely future adoption within the UK.

Carrol Lunau from the National Library of Canada and the key editor of
Release 2.0, will be presenting the keynote speech and other speakers include
Andy Powell - UKOLN, University of Bath, Peter Stubley - University of Sheffield,
Slavko Manojlovich - SIRSI Corporation, Rob Bull-Crossnet and Peter Burnhill
will be chairing the event.

An up to date programme and booking form can be found at:
 <http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/events/bath-profile/>
The charge for attending the event is £30.00, which includes refreshements
and lunch during the day.

We look forward to seeing you in July.
