Hi,

I have one further comment on this regarding the issue of how up to date
(or how out of date ??) this stuff will be - Z39.50 servers probably dont
change that much, but there could be an issue if (say) a server address is
changed, and this information remains out of date in some places.

Whats the model for general domain name address changes - how do such
changes (whether additions, deletions, revisions) get their information
leaked around the world ?

So, is there an analogy to this, that instead of having a single central
directory of servers, that there are a number of directories
internationally located with some background activity providing updates
between them ?

Rob
