Hi, I have one further comment on this regarding the issue of how up to date (or how out of date ??) this stuff will be - Z39.50 servers probably dont change that much, but there could be an issue if (say) a server address is changed, and this information remains out of date in some places. Whats the model for general domain name address changes - how do such changes (whether additions, deletions, revisions) get their information leaked around the world ? So, is there an analogy to this, that instead of having a single central directory of servers, that there are a number of directories internationally located with some background activity providing updates between them ?
