Is whitespace allowed in Identity Constraint XPath expressions?

The BNF in the XML Schema REC doesn't mention whitespace.  Neither
does the equivalent BNF in XPath.  But elsewhere in XPath it says
whitespace is allowed almost anywhere.  I think we should clarify this 
one way or the other in XML Schema - - I vote for allowing it.
