It's not clear whether you are also proposing changing @uri and {uri} on f&p and soap:module as well. I'm not sure the attribute and property name "iri" is going to be very user friendly. We might want to consider renaming this attribute to something neutral.
Appendix E (which should be moving to a Note any day now) defines some specific namespace URIs, I would worry about calling those namespace IRIs (since the Namespaces in XML 1.0 spec doesn't), so I would not necessarily extend the search and replace to this content.
In the Adjuncts spec section 4.11.2 it talks about the 'URI "http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap/bindings/HTTP/"'. It is indeed a URI and I don't think we should change to IRI here. (See [1] for rationale.)
I also point out that this would change "URI Style" to "IRI Style" and we might want to modify the associated URI "http://www.w3.org/@@@@/@@/wsdl/style/uri". The other interactions with the HTTP binding look OK to me but turning an expert eye there would probably be wise to make sure we don't call something an IRI when we're referring to something HTTP defines as a URI.

Absolutely - we had to explore this for the UDDI spec. anyURI already accepts IRIs.

Hugo,
Can we use xs:anyURI for IRI's?

LC74a: Proposed resolution for IRI support
As I was looking about IRI support in our spec, I stumbled upon open
issue LC74a[1] which asks for it too.
I'd therefore like to propose the following resolution to close issue
LC74a now that the IRI spec is a RFC:
- s/URI/IRI/ in our spec
- replace the the RFC 3986 reference by an RFC 3987
That should take care of it.
Cheers,
Hugo
