We are pleased to announce the publication of  Speech Synthesis Markup 
Language (SSML) Version 1.1 W3C Candidate Recommendation.

This document enhances SSML 1.0 to provide better support for a broader 
set of natural (human) languages.  The closing period for implementation 
reports is 5 January 2009.
