About the INITIAL VoiceXML element

Hello!

I am trying to figure our the INTIAL element in the VoiceXML 1.0 specs.

Apparently I can't see any good in it, I can usesimple IF/ELSE elements
instead.

Can somebody tell me more about this, and a VoiceXML document explaining the
issue will be best.
