Validator for Xhtml 1.0 strict not working

Dear sir/mam

When trying to validate pages in XHTML 1.0 strict, the validator gives  
the error that the incorrect url is given for HTML transitional.

Please check into this, i need to validate an assignement.

Is the Xhtml 1.0 STRICT vallidator offline?
