Can I join the QA - dev team?

Dear Olivier Thereaux,
 
I'm a web developer and our team are gonna kick off a project that
develop a web validator to check the webpages in our Intranet, 
can I join the Validatior Team in W3C to study something and also do my
effort to QA - dev suite of tools ?
